This Suit Was Made for Space Walking

imageNASA decided to upgrade their spacesuits. They look kind of in they don't look much better than they did in the past. They were designed in time for the launch of the 2015 Orion Capsule which will hopefully replace our terribly aged space shuttle program in hopes that we can bring humans back to the Moon, a nearby Asteroid and hopefully Mars.

This is part of a larger mission of the Constellation Program which is aimed at generating new spacecrafts, hardware for the spacecrafts and special trips.

I still like the Mercury spacesuits.

Spacesuits as they are now. Boring and uninspiring.

MIT's sleek, skintight spacesuit called the biosuit

A spacesuit of the future made for abandoning a ship and jumping back into the atmosphere.

More details about this suit from Orbital Outfitters.

And that is my post about spacesuits.
