China is Winning at Everything

In line with yesterday's post about China's recent gold medals, it also appears that China has already taken the U.S. as the top carbon polluter. Obviously there will and their has been a move through the UN and through general international pressure for China to cut its emissions.

However China (and apparently the UN) bring up a good point that other wealthy countries with high levels of pollution must also do their part to reduce emissions and help less fortunate countries to invest in "green technology."

Another thing to note is that while China has signed the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gasses that cause climate change the U.S. has not. Whether this protocol is useful is another question to be asked. What should China do?
